No School Days
Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL (virtual or in-person) Wednesday, November 25 - Friday, November 27. Meals will not be distributed at Oaklawn or the meal sites during these days.
There will be VIRTUAL LEARNING ONLY the week of Monday, November 30 - Friday, December 4. Meals will not be distributed at Oaklawn during these days.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher conferences will be virtual this fall. Teachers will be sharing information with you on how to sign up for a conference time with them. Teachers will work with individual families to schedule a time that works best.
Oaklawn Library is still open!
Did you know that all Oaklawn students can request books from their school library to pick up and bring home to read?

Virtual Learner Caregiver Series
You are making it through distance learning and we see how hard you are working to balance everything. The newsletter link below includes a short video and links of helpful suggestions from behavior interventionists, Michelle Mees, Kristin Bartelt and Mary Diedrich.

PTO Holiday Photo Shoot - November 30th, 5-6pm
Back by popular request, our Annual Holiday Photo Shoot. This is PERFECT for those wanting professional pictures for Holiday cards. HUGE Thank YOU to Ken Cravillion.
Photography for donating 100% of the proceeds of this fundraiser to Oaklawn PTO.
Due to Covid-19, the photos will take place at the PDS House (4090 Summerview Drive) in our heated garage with professional backdrop. Families MUST sign up for a time slot by messaging Stephanie Pereira Da Silva via FB or text 920-203-2881.
Cost is $20 per family, and this includes your 5 minute time slot and emailed professional photos within 7 days of the photo shoot (which includes your rights to print anywhere).

In an effort to continue to track symptomatic students, return dates to school, and Covid-19 cases, we kindly ask that you continue to notify your school nurse when your child has symptoms, has tested positive for Covid-19, or has been a close contact to someone that has tested positive for Covid-19. Virtual Learning until at least January 11, 2021
The Oshkosh Area School District, with the support of the Winnebago County Health
Department, has made the difficult decision to remain in Model 4: Virtual Learning until at

Virtual Daily Attendance is still being recorded. You or your child will need to log into Infinite Campus daily to check in. School staff will be in the office during virtual learning. Please contact your child's teacher by email or the school by phone, 920-424-0170, if you have any questions or need help with your child's virtual learning.
Revised Meal Distribution During Model 4: Virtual Learning: Starting the week of November 9, meal distributions will occur on Wednesdays ONLY at the following locations and times. (NOTE: Two afternoon/evening pick-up times were added to better assist families.) Details: https://bit.ly/32YbqLU
- North High School (circle drive in front of school) from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
- West High School (in front of door 20) from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m.
- West High School (in front of door 20) from 3:15 - 4:15 p.m.
- North High School (circle drive in front of school) from 5 - 6 p.m.
NOTE: Due to Thanksgiving Break, there will be no meal distribution on Wednesday, November 25. Instead, children will receive seven-days’ worth of meals on Wednesday, November 18 to account for all school days between November 18 and December 2. Wednesday meal distributions will resume on December 2.
School Picture - Round 2 are here!
We will be adding pictures to our material pick up days this Thursday and Friday. eAcademy families can stop by the school office to pick them up.
Parents are able to get copies of their child's pictures from Network Photography at any time during the school year. You can contact the company at any time to place an order. Information for is below.
Registration Fees/Free and Reduced Lunch
All students enrolled in the Oshkosh Area School District need to pay an instructional fee. Please double check the "Fees" tab in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account to check your current balance. Payments can be made through the portal or sent to the school office. Checks should be made out to Oaklawn Elementary School. Please label the payment with your student's name and which fee you are paying for. Destiny/Media book fines are also listed in the "Fees" tab. Some fees may be waived for students who qualify for free/reduced lunches. It is the families responsiblity to make sure you complete the proper paperwork. All applications have a section to complete to have the fees waived. Families/students who have directly certified for free/reduced lunch by the state have an extra form included with their status letter that needs to be returned to the school office. You can NOT assume your fees are waived just because you qualify.
