Student Drop Off, 7:30am
We would like to remind parents that the drop off time for students is 7:30am. That is when we have supervision on the playground. ONLY students who eat breakfast may be dropped off before 7:30am. Students who enter the building will be required to take breakfast. Our breakfast program is for students to eat breakfast before school; please do not use it only as child care. Our breakfast program is FREE for all students.
Valentine’s/Friendship Day
We will celebrate Valentine’s/Friendship Day on Friday, February 14th. Please watch your child’s classroom newsletter for more information regarding valentine cards, parties, etc.
Per Board Policy, if you plan to send food for your child(ren)’s class party, please follow these guidelines:
- Only purchased and already assembled cut fruit, vegetable & cheese trays are allowed. These items must be refrigerated until served.
- All “dry” items such as cookies and crackers must be store purchased and still factory sealed.

We are currently hiring morning and lunch time recess supervisors.
Morning hours: 7:00-8:00am - We are looking for someone who can....
- Be here everyday
- Turn on the computer, open the program and have it ready for students to enter their pin numbers
- Monitor the students as they key in their pin numbers.
Lunch: 10:15am-12:45pm - We are looking for someone who can...
- Supervise the lunch room, walking around and monitoring our students.
- Transition student to outside recess
- Be outside, walking around and monitoring our students
$7.50/hr

Fun at Lunch Recess!
Every Thursday, students are able to go to the media center during their recess time and participate in activities provided by the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes. Last week the girls talked about diversity and how we are each different but still fit together as a community.

Parent Teacher Conferences
February 21st - 3:30pm - 6:30pm
It is parent-teacher conference time for the teacher and parent to meet if there are significant concerns in progress. A parent/guardian is welcome to make an appointment to talk about your child at any time during the school year should a concern develop. Conferences will be held on February 20th between 3:30pm and 6:30pm for those families who need to meet.
Our school will again use the PTC Fast website to schedule our conferences to make signups as convenient as possible. Please enter the following web address into your browser window and follow the given instructions.

Summer School Sign Up
March 2nd - March 20th
The Oshkosh Area School District (OASD) is putting the final touches on an exciting summer school program for 2020. High School and Middle School summer sessions will be held at Oshkosh North High School. Elementary courses will be held at Jefferson, Oaklawn, and Carl Traeger schools. Busing will be available for elementary students only and at limited pickup/dropoff sites based on summer school location.
Course registration will be available online through Infinite Campus beginning March 2, 2020 and will be open through March 20, 2020. Detailed course information about all course options including special camps and registration instructions will be sent at a later date through email and your parent portal and will be available on the OASD Summer School Webpage.

It’s time to put on those dancing shoes for our annual K-Kids Winter Dance. Dance the night away on Friday, February 14th from 6-7:30pm. The dance will also serve as our kick off to our annual Penny Wars. It’s time to check under those couch cushions and coat pockets for spare change! The grade level with the most donations during the dance will receive a $5.00 bonus towards their final tally. The penny wars competition will run through the end of February. The winning class will receive a Dilly Bar party. All donations received will be given to the Operation Not Alone Fund.
Yearbook Sale (Details)
Your child was given an order form to purchase a yearbook. Yearbooks will be handed out to students on June 2nd. Order forms/payments are due back in the office by Mon. Feb. 10th.
